PREPARE TO BE ROCKED!!!
Why?
‘Cause The Sacred Fools Theater Co. is throwing A
GUITAR HERO TOURNAMENT AND PARTY!!!!!!
If
you don’t know what GUITAR HERO is, it’s an insanely fun
video
game not unlike Dance Dance Revolution, except instead of
dancing - YOU ARE PLAYING GUITAR!!!
Some of the best gamers in the city will be competing
head-to-head
on the Sacred Fools stage, with the game projected on the back
wall
and the crankin' rock songs blasting through our theater
speakers!
YET YOU DON’T HAVE TO BE
AMAZING AT GUITAR HERO TO HAVE
AN AMAZING TIME!!!!
You’ll have fun AND help a worthy cause -
all proceeds go to the award winning Sacred Fools Theater
Company! (Yeah, that's us.)
Hope
to see you there!
Even
the President and Vice President love Guitar Hero!
NOTES
AFTER THE FIRST TOURNAMENT
(Revised again, 5/15, 12:30am):
Wow, that was crazy!
So
apparently, we're told, we were the FIRST EVER Guitar Hero II tournament in
Los Angeles! Can that be right? The house was packed with die hard gamers,
Sacred Fools, and folks who were just plain curious.
Ten-year-old Ellis Sanchez's family drove him down from San
Francisco just to compete - and he ROCKED the joint! What
showmanship! He didn't win the night, but he sure won
everyone's hearts! And congratulations to winner Tom Prag,
a high school junior from Claremont who won what his proud papa,
Jay, says was also HIS first-ever tournament!
And NPR came to cover the event. You thought they only
covered classical musicians and macrame. But no.
But the most important thing is, everyone had a great time, and
seemed to want to do it again. So will we? SIGNS
POINT TO "YES!"
But we don't know when yet. So if you missed that big red
notice up top, chekkit out. Join the Sacred Fools Guitar
Hero mailing list, and we'll let you know when the next one
is. Okay? Okay!
