RIGG - New York ex-pat, culture vulture and iconoclastic performance art stand up comedian Kate Rigg is the creator of the music and comedy revue Kate's
Chink-O-Rama: featuring the chink-o-rama dancers, and the play Birth of an ASIAN. A graduate of the Juilliard School, Kate's comedy has been seen on NBC, Comedy Central, VH1,
CTV, CBC, and around the country in clubs like Carolines on Broadway, the Laugh Factory, and the
Improv. She is the recipient of the New York Foundation for The Arts Fellowship and an NEA Commission to develop new work. She has starred off-Broadway in The Vagina Monologues (Westside Theater), Dogeaters (The Public Theater), BFE (Playwrights Horizons) and toured for the Mark Taper Forum in
"Sez She". She has headlined at the Vancouver International Comedy Festival, The Montreal Comedy Festival, The Perth International Festival, and conferences for the National Performance Network and the Women in Performance Consortium. She is known for irreverent
politi-comedy and is also the producer of the Eagle Rock DVD "The naughty show: bad girls of comedy."
