EPISODE ONE (6/12/16)

SUMMARY: In an office, a panicked and bloody Patsy is speaking with the soothing yet ominous voice of the unseen "Insight," who tells her she's come so far. Suddenly, Patsy is attacked by a man wielding a stapler and manically shouting at her to stop texting him; he runs into the scissors she's holding and collapses into a chair, and she wheels him away. We then turn back time to Patsy's first day at the office. We start by meeting Phil, who is narrating the boring life of co-worker Gordo, a bland and ineffectual man who asks Phil to stop. Phil also really likes cake; there always seems to be cake in the break room. Gordo is waiting for the new hire - Patsy - who is led in by Marci, who has only been working there a month but already thinks she knows all the ins and outs... but really, everybody just finds her annoying. Marci found Patsy in the waiting room; Barbara was supposed to go get her. Barbara is an uptight and angry person who hates her job and is out to make things miserable for everyone - though she can't put a dent in the attitude of her narcissistic boss, Chuck. She does, however, succeed in making Patsy uncomfortable before storming off. Chuck, wanting to get some cake from the break room, leaves Patsy in the invisible hands of Insight, who says she'll be Patsy's guide and will watch over her. As Patsy leaves, the ominous figure of Cammy stalks into the room, carrying a piece of cake... and a knife. She seems to be on the edge of some sort of psychotic break... and when Phil arrives looking for cake, she attacks him with the knife.
