SUMMARY: The 1970s. Vietnam vet Kenny is standing in the
rain, contemplating a gun, possibly about to kill himself.
Suddenly, he meets Charlotte, a stunning woman in an evening
gown, trying to shelter herself from the rain. The two hit
it off, and he invites her to have coffee with him. Kenny soon learns
that Charlotte is unhappily engaged to a wealthy and powerful man.
There's a powerful electricity between the two (only briefly
interrupted by a scarily demanding waitress), but when Kenny
excuses himself to go to the bathroom, Charlotte begins writing
a note and gets up to leave... then thinks better of the note
and takes it with her. Kenny, who had considered ridding himself
of the gun while in the bathroom, returns to find her gone... |
