SUMMARY:  A mysterious juggler introduces us to a dispirited Ernest Hemingway, who has found himself in the afterlife.  As Dr. Quackenbush administers drugs to attempt to prevent further, now-pointless suicide attempts - and possibly quash everything that makes him Hemingway - a pair of denizens of the spirit world take an interest in the late author's continued well-being.  Meanwhile, Hemingway meets Sylvia Plath.

SUMMARY:  Diavalo and Angeli, as well as the Juggler, discuss the profusion of guns, and whether removing them would make the world a better place.  Diavalo, who is anti-gun, replaces a mugger's gun with a banana; the young woman he was assaulting tases him.  Diavalo rewinds the scene; this time, the mugger has a gun - but so does the intended victim, who shoots him dead.  After debating the attendary morality, or lack thereof, the issue is further debated on an episode of Chris Matthews' Hardball, with guests Ted Nugent, Clint Eastwood, Rachel Maddow and Piers Morgan.
